NDUGA - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 432/Waspada Setia Jaya Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Thursday, 5 September 2024, the 432 Task Forces, especially the Dal Post led by First Lieutenant Bremen Tomy Pandu, conducted area security in the Gurumbe Village, Dal District. During the patrol, the Team met a Papuan mother, Mama Ria Murib, complaining of a headache.
Upon meeting Mama Ria, she immediately expressed her medical concerns. She had been experiencing severe dizziness for two days, a condition that had not improved. Fortunately, the Patrol Team included First Lieutenant Doctor Chendy, who serves as the Medical Officer of the 432 Task Forces. Recognizing the urgency of Mama Ria's condition, Chendy promptly examined and treated her. Following the treatment, Chendy provided Mama Ria with free medication and vitamins to aid in her recovery over the next few days.
After the treatment, Mama Ria said, "Thank you, Pak Dokter (Army Doctor). I am happy that the TNI is always helping the people. God bless." This heartfelt thanks from Mama Ria underscores the profound and positive impact of the TNI's actions on the local community, a testament to the organization's dedication and service.
After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 432 Task Forces’ initiative to provide health care to a resident of Gurumbe Village. His words: 'The 432 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to helping the residents with difficulties in the health sector, one of the community's basic needs, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.' This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development, instilling a sense of progress and hope about their potential to positively shape the region's future. It also makes the Task Forces and the community feel recognized and appreciated for their efforts, fostering a sense of value and respect.
