NDUGA - Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 432/Waspada Setia Jaya Kostrad, one of the military units under The Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA in Papua, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Tuesday, 20 August 2024,
The Dal Post, led by Captain Syarif Al Martadha, the Deputy Commander of the 432 Task Forces, conducted a Patrol by visiting and greeting residents in the Grinbun Village, Dal District. The Patrol Team Commander during the patrol was First Lieutenant Bremen Tomy Pandu.
The Commander of Satgas Yonif 432 Kostrad, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Zulfikar Akbar Helmi, left a message for the Soldiers who would be carrying out the Patrol on Tuesday. The message was that every Soldier should use their assignment for positive things, not just tend to do it as a routine. The message was apparently immediately answered with the initiative and creativity of the Soldiers, especially by carrying out Social Communication (Komsos), as well as distributing free toys and clothes to children they met along the Patrol route.
While still prioritizing the security aspect of the Patrol, when they met residents, the Soldiers invited them to communicate and were greeted happily by the Grinbun residents. In the Komsos, the distribution of free toys and clothes was welcomed happily by the children and the parents who accompanied them. Feeling treated like close relatives, a Papuan mother named Eli Murib said, "Thank you for the free toys and clothes for our children, Om Tentara (Soldier). God bless".
"The creativity of the 432 Task Forces in holding Patrols by carrying out Komsos in Grinbun Village is TNI’s effort to conduct inclusive Social Communication with all parties to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region", said the HABEMA Commander, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, after receiving a report on the implementation of the activity.
